The customer has been notified of the technician’s arrival and supplied prep sheets prior to installation. The customer agrees to have electrical service and air in place (Refer to the layout drawing The customer agrees to have welders and electricians provided, and assistants for moving and placing machines, drilling holes for lag bolts, etc.Select All Equipment Delivery and Site Preparedness ReviewLet’s confirm that we are ready to start the installation. We will verify the equipment arrived in a ready condition, and the customer’s facility is ready to begin. Visual Confirmation upon arrivalPhysically inspect the equipment, confirm each requirement, and document the equipment state prior to beginning the installation. [Video] Visual inspection of the machine. Take pictures of any damage from shipping. Customer has support team in place Forklift or crane with proper travel is available to unload, place and align equipment. Check the area where the customer intends to place the machine. Refer to the layout drawing for dimensions.Select AllTake a pictureInclude a picture that represents the equipment’s status when you arrived on-site.Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif. InstallationOnce you have completed your pre-install check, it’s time to begin placing the equipment.Setting the Machine(Required)It is now time to place the equipment and dry-fit the assembled parts. [Video] Place the conveyor and bend box sections first. Use the lift eyes on the bend boxes. Once the bend boxes and track have been placed, unstrap the bend boxes and break weldments off the traveling bend box. Push the moving bend box to the end of the bender track.Select All Install the Track(Required)Prepare the track and secure it to the floor. [Video] Secure the IGUS track with the Allen bolts provided in the trough. Lay the cables out in the trough so they are not crossing over each other.Select All Install the Conveyor System(Required)Place and align the conveyor sections. [Video] Next, place the first section of the conveyor by dropping the lifting chains where lift points are indicated. Wrap chains around the frame support. Move the first section of conveyor into place. Using a crane or fork lift with spreader beam. Use a straight edge to align the back of the conveyor with the squaring stop of the stationary bender. Align the leg at the end of the conveyor with the metal plate of the bender track. Move the second section of conveyor into place. Align the leg with the plate on the track. Use the leveling bolts on the conveyor leg to level the tops of the conveyor. Bolt the conveyor sections together. Be sure the faces are square and there are no catch points.Select All Connect Conveyor Sections(Required)Next, complete the airline and belt connections between the sections. [Video] Make the airline connections between the conveyor sections. Remove the belt covers and make the belt connections between the conveyor sections. Place belt guards back on and secure in place.Select All Install Safety Curtain(Required)Place the Safety Curtain at the end of the track. [Video] Place the light curtain at the end of the track. Run the seal tight down the conveyor frame. Connect the communication cable. Zip tie the seal tight to the conveyor frame.Select All Hydraulic Line Connections(Required)Complete the connections to the Main Unit. [Video] Connect the hydraulic lines via the quick connect ports on the conveyor. Remove the lift eyes from the bender boxes.Select All Connect Control Console(Required)Prepare the console for air and communication lines. [Video] Unwrap the seal tight cables at the end of the conveyor. Connect air hoses and communication cables. Arrange the seal tights so they are laying flat from the stationary bender to the electrical cabinet.Select All Electrical Cabinet(Required)Connect the lines from the console to the electrical cabinet. [Video] Prep the electrical cabinet to feed cables into it. Grab the seal tight gaskets and harness clips from the bottom of the electrical cabinet. Feed the cables into the electrical cabinet in order to keep the seal tights laying flat on the floor. Remove the frames from the cabinet. Place the gasket around the sealtight, then insert into the frame. Resecure the frames to the cabinet making sure the sealtights are laying flat on the floor.Select All Complete the Control Console Installation(Required)Attach the light tower and complete installing cables. [Video] Attach the light tower to the control console. Locate the large seal tight coming out of the electrical cabinet. Feed the cables into the control console. Attention: Locate marking for PLUG CAT 5 HERE Follow numbered labels on the blue wires and seat them in the appropriate position in the console terminal strip. Organize and sort the cables from each sealtight. Be sure to coil up extra cable and place in the bottom of the electrical cabinet. Feed the cables with the grey wires up behind the drive panel. You can use the panel switch shaft to hang them out of the way. Attention: PLUG HERE WITH APPROPRIATE DRIVE LABEL Plug the labeled drive cables into the corresponding drive. Then use the clips provided to secure the cable in place. Match labeled CAT 5 and Resolver cables with the appropriate drives. Secure resolver cables with a screwdriver. Use the supplied electrical drawings to seat and secure the remaining wires in the appropriate terminal boxes. Clean up and secure wires using the provided raceways and covers.Select All Attach the Conveyor to the Stationary Bender(Required)Attach the conveyor and confirm alignment and motion. [Video] Secure the spacing plate on the end of the conveyor by the stationary bender. Manually run the travel bender in slowly. The bender should move along the track smoothly. Look for any wobbles or rubbing on the conveyor. Check for gaps between the stationary bender and the conveyor. There should be 1/8 to 1/4 inch gap. A ratchet strap can be used to pull sections together. Shim the stationary bender, track and conveyor where necessary. Manually run the travel bender back out double checking for wobbles and rubbing on the conveyor. Shim any remaining gaps.Select All Laser Scanner(Required)Attach and secure the laser scanner. [Video] Place the laser scanner and assemble the stand. Locate scanner cable and plug and secure the cable plug using a screwdriver. Use the laser scanner spacer to position the scanner pole. Drill and lag the scanner post in place. Clean up excess wire and tie wrap the scanner cable to the post and frame of the conveyor.Select All Conveyor and Bender Track Placement(Required)Now, complete the conveyor and bender track placement and secure. [Video] Drill and lag the conveyor in place. Manually run the travel bender to check the spacing. Be sure the gap in between the conveyor and bender is around 1/8 to 1/4 inch and there is no rubbing against the conveyor. Drill and lag the bender track in place.Select All Discharge Pockets(Required)Place and Secure the Discharge Pockets. [Video] Assemble the discharge pockets and place the lip of the guide under the track.Select All Secure the Stationary Bender(Required)Finalize securing the stationary bender. [Video] Drill and lag the stationary bender in place. Run the travel bender all the way to the very end of the track. Set the track barrier 16 inches from the edge of travel bender table. Drill and lag the track barrier in place.Select All Security Curtain Alignment(Required)It is critical to position and align the security curtain laser in front of the discharge pockets. [Video] Align the light curtain beams with the post on the stationary bender. Be sure to be in front of the discharge pockets slightly. Align by eye until the red light appears in post.Select All Firment and Operation Testing(Required)It is time to confirm the installation has been completed and all the equipment is functioning as expected. [Video] Test the scanner function, the extension tables, air assist on tooling and other functions. Dry run a test shape and verify all systems are functional. Break off or grind off the shipping brackets on the tooling trays.Select All Customer AcceptanceReview the equipment functionality with the Customer and have them complete the following.UntitledThis is to certify that the installation of the Equipment described above, at [Installation Location] has been completed successfully as of [Completion Date]. The equipment has been installed in accordance with the agreed terms and specifications outlined in the contract dated [Contract Date]. All necessary tests and inspections have been conducted, and the equipment is confirmed to be in proper working order.
